Apna Ghar terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and iDevia ("we"), who make Apna Ghar. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use Apna Ghar. Questions: [email protected].

The service

Apna Ghar helps a household keep its shopping list, inventory, reminders, maintenance and calendar in one place, shared between its members. It is free. We may change, add or remove features, and we'll try to give notice of changes that matter.

Your account

• Give a real email address you can use, and keep your password or Google account secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old.
• Tell us at once if you think someone else is using your account.

Households

A household's owner decides who joins and what role they have. Members can add and change the household's things; view-only members can only look. Anything you add to a household is visible to its members and stays with the household if you leave or delete your account (without your name). Only invite people you trust.

Your content

What you add stays yours. You give us permission to store it, copy it to backups, and show it to your household's members, only to run Apna Ghar. Our privacy policy explains how we handle it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Apna Ghar to break the law, to harass anyone, to store other people's personal data without the right to, or to attack, overload or probe the service, or try to reach data that isn't yours.

Reminders and notifications

Apna Ghar is a helper, not a guarantee. Notifications can be late or fail to arrive, for example when a phone is offline or has notifications turned off. Don't rely on the app alone for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as medicines, bills or safety checks.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Apna Ghar running and backed up, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and we can't promise it will be error-free. We may stop offering it; if we do, we'll give reasonable notice so you can note down what you need.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the account deletion page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Liability

Apna Ghar is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by missed reminders, wrong quantities or other mistakes in what users enter. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kolkata, West Bengal have jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use Apna Ghar after a change means you accept the new terms.
